Exporting The Jazz. America’s REAL Export Industry

China is manufacturing products for much cheaper than we can. Why don't we sell jazz as an export industry?

Jazz is what is in our blood… American history shows that the southern blues and the ills that came from American slavery helped create the idiom of the BLUES… and from the BLUES CAME JAZZZ… IT IS AMERICAN MUSIC!!

JAZZ, BAIL OUTS, STRESS TESTS, TARP, HEROIN & MILES

We use stress tests to decide if we are healthy enough to groove to the beat of the music in the streets.. no way daddy-o there ain’t no blood on these streets… the market keeps going up up, up, up baby-doll and I’m hip to the jive Bernacke is feeding me like a heroin addict just needing more of that sweet fix we call TARP baby... gimme another hit of Tarp mixed with TALF Ben.. come on my brother you know we goes way back and you be the drug dealer on H-Street in D.C….

Paulson got me hooked Daddy.. and my American Dream is looking soooo, sooo, sweet as the needle hits the vein and I start nodding off to the sound of Sarah Palin whispering in my ear..”DRILL Baby…. Just Drill”.. ooooh she sound so sweet and I just wanna go to sleep, but I gotta get to the welfare line since the line is soOOOO long nowadays with whats goin on as Marvin would say..makes me wanna holla!

And Huffington post is making me huff to the rythmn of the capitol improvement being sufficient to maintain the social structure of disorder…And my Chevy wont start and the government warranty from Detroit aint kicked in yet...

Print is dead Baby! Vinyl is coming back and the unions can’t stop intellectual property hemorrhaging cash as the media cries uncle to the internet, and the wall street journal is increasing the traffic on a subscription model while Bloomberg reports on the banks stress test be stressing me and stressing you and Time Warner is burning down the house on fire to a hip hop beat lost on the media drunk masses from the overload of cnn, o’reilly…

And The New York times mis-information…

Wake up people and see this bear market rally as what it is.. a fake out of the american dream and Obama is bailing out the ship with a coffee can that has a Geithner hole in it and the water level is rising as Billie sings the blues and Coltrane wails in the background and I can feel nothing but Miles and Bitches brew coming my way… it’s cool baby.. can you dig it?

JAZZ FOR DUMMIES!

It's a pop culture world we are living in and it is even more realized in today's economy. It seems now is not the time to get "deep" into music.I read that during the depression people wanted to be "happy"and not be reminded of the terrible times around them...

My President Is Black

I recall growing up in the 70’s in the turbulent city of New York. I remember hearing a lot of Marvin Gaye’s album “What’s Going On?” It was a time of all manners of stress and America was going through growing pains. The music that came out during that time was exciting and sometimes tragic. There was uplifting music and great lovemaking and dancing music.

What is the best music for sex?

In college, Jazz was not so "cool"..you couldn't get laid so easy listening to Miles or Train!

I remember going to a party and in the wee hours barging into a bedroom and seeing 2 goth chicks making out on the bed…it always seemed that the goth chicks had all the sexual fun.. so the next week I shaved my head and sported a Mohawk like Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver.. the next day I had 2 dates lined up and I started buying the 12 pack condom box.. before that I was lucky if I got through the year with the condom 3 pack!

The Girl from Ipanema was in my dream

The Girl from Ipanema wasn't so beautiful anymore, but she still had that inner glow that made me feel calm when I thought of how she use to look. The music still sounded sweet though. Her innocence was lost but she was still pure just like the song with Stan playing his horn. The use to call Stan Getz THE SOUND, SINCE HE HAD SUCH A SWEET WAY OF PLAYING HIS AXE

Bombs in Gaza and thoughts of Ornette Coleman

in Gaza and the carnage of buildings…This is a perfect time to think like Jazz legend Ornette Coleman. Ornette played the horn like it was an instrument he just tripped over and decided to make music.

OBAMA AND MILES DAVIS

HEY you JAZZ CATS!JUST READ AN INTERESTING ARTICLE ON YAHOO: "Obama bristles as the bubble closes in on him". The article is all about Obama and the press and media. Obama is getting REALLY IRRITATED by the constant media attention of his every move!

It seems the brother can't get any private time to himself or his family. The article talks about OBAMA GETTING VISIBLY ANGRY AND "testy" at the press. I always felt Obama had to control his anger when he was running for president. I remember how Hillary Clinton was trying to emasculate him on the campaign trail...

Obama could not show how upset he was because then the press would be on him as the "angry black man" which so many black people have to live with that stereotype. I was waiting for the explosion of Obama... tt's just so hard containing your emotions as a Black man in America! I new OBAMA HAD SOME MILES DAVIS IN HIM. Now we are starting to see the MILES come out in OBAMA!
